Home theater problem?!?

I have a 1080p Blu-ray player (sony BDP-S360), a 1080p AV Receiver (Denon AVR-2310) and a 1080p Projector. The problem is that the system only works on 1080i !!
The Blu-ray is connected to the AV Receiver with a HDMI 1.3,
and the Receiver is connected to the Projector with a HDMI 1.3.

ok so i want to make a projector home theater. my question is how big of a screen should i get. like L x W. the distance from the projector will be roughly 10-10 1/2 feet and this is the projector i want.
